We looked at getting a kerb lowered at a previous address in the same City maybe 4 years ago and were told 'in the region of £750'. Since then a 'company' has taken over responsibility for many of the Council works (ICT, roads etc) and now the region is '£1500'.
Time will tell if the huge cost rise is down to licencing or not.

I 've been quoted £587.44 for doing my dropped pavement -well worth every penny!
