Advise on silver grey granite - Think i have damaged my slabs

Patio flagstones (slabs), concrete flags, stone flags including yorkstone and imported flagstones.

I find it strange I can’t find any info on what has happened to them. Iv been searching the web for weeks and no1 has had this problem. Would you advise leaving them the longer the better? If I know they will go back to the original colour I will leave them. It’s like they have been etched or something

Is there some reason you are desperate to seal them?

I'd be sorely tempted to leave them over the summer and review the situation say mid-september, when they will have (hopefully) had a few weeks of heat to bake out any residual moisture and it's still not too late in the season to opt for a sealant if that's what you want to do.

I wonder if the bedding has any involvement in what you are seeing at the surafce. Do you know what was used for the bedding?
