amazing ,you can hardly see the joints :;):
personally i would have been more worried about the IC collapsing than a few cracks in the mac
duchy original bacon for me 
and sausages from "jelleys" butchers down the road== home made

To be fair , apart from around the drain where the mac was lifting slightly the rest of the drive is very stable. The other cracks have been there for 10 years or so and have never got worse. So I would think the sub base is cracked but stable. Still, I enjoyed doing the work...
Found a nicer looking finish...for red tarmac joins anyway...mix some cold seal with a little (B&Q) sharp sand and it fills in the very very small cracks that don't go all the way through. Also I have sprayed the joints again and sprinkled some hundreds of thous...no thats not right...some more sharp sand on..left it to dry then brushed off the excess. Really did it as an experiment to give me a filler rather than a joint sealer on its own was designed to do, like a proper crack filler, its works a treat so the dulling down of the black was a bonus. You can't see them from space anymore... It'll do for the winter until I can convince next door to pay half for block paving.
Spent several years in Malaysia, great country..or it was in the 90's anyway...no not in jail....and they have something called beef "bacon" (why bother ?)...being a Muslim state...its appalling, like sucking a navvy's boots, allegedly, after a hard day laying sewers...

some of my family in scotland eat summat called "slice" its like beef that has been minced and compressed into a square
quite tasty but dont think too hard about what went into it lol

sliced / square sausage or lorne sausage sounds like your on about LLL
good with haggis and plenty brown sauce - dont work in confined spaces later on though - comes back to haunt :p

Next we know they'll get free tarmacing on the NHS paid for with English taxes...just like Uni places and Prescriptions... :p

Seriously folks and I play golf with three Scots EVERY weekend....Good luck on Saturday nice to see Scotland in the Euros as 2nd Choice Steve's boys will have to be very very lucky..and I've eaten haggis and loved it...

Technically true although my "tag" is after a certain Brian Wilson ...of Beach Boys fame.
My real names McTavish so not remotely Scottish...

Anyways...I always wondered why it was hard to get tarmac companies to just carry out repairs. Provided the contract has appropriate caveats it could be a nice little earner for a firm to employ a few guys to just do that.
Homeowners who couldn't afford a new drive might still pay for a decent patch repair job, using quality material like the Ultracrete IRR, and surface treatment using something like Watco's Red or Black Top. Materials for my drive repair (67.5 sq m) would cost about £400 (trade) or less....then 2 -3 days for a well tooled up guy doing the work...good channel cutter and mini roller. So for less than a grand a driveway could be freshened up.
Just a thought as it shouldn't really take away any driveway replacement business that people would get anyway.
