well aint ever used easipoint but would like to see the finish with it
if wanting to do a budget job as you call it surely these brush in resin based products would be the way to go dont you think ? cos theres little doubt "The look of the bottom of a bird cage finish " is pretty poor dont you think

365 looks fairly smooth when struck in properly

when i say premium i mean every last inch of pointing is the same colour

which is what people want

this is only picture i have seen of the weatherpoint

http://www.landscapejuicenetwork.com/forum....int-365

regarding getting super consistant colour if you measure all your sands and cement out with a bucket and a measuring jug for your dyes i see no reason you cant get a super consistant colour time and time again,

dyes?

gone in 60 seconds

no offence but I thought nobody used them anymore as they dont last

I understand the measuring thing but 1 false step by a labourer and it gets noised up

and I have seen it done

Hi there

Like the idea of the bigger pointing gun but 40" long with mortar is not to heavy and awkward, any pictures of it

nothing right or wrong here

its the finish that counts

i would like one of those nifty pump ones that pumps the gear through a hose but imagine they cost a bomb

Nowhere near as smooth as a polished mortar joint though Tony.

yes I agree wholeheartedly thats why i like easipoint
but if you ever use mortar on a sawn stone patio you will soon see why it is hard work

no idea but that's got to be advantageous on pointing patio paving not having to keep filling up a tube

2.5 gallon blimey you would have to stop for a brew half way through emptying it :)

hi tarmel

yes at 40 inches when full of cement it is pretty heavy, this is why i put a tapered steel nozzle on the gun so it can sit between the joint and pull it along, the big advantage of having the extra length in the gun is you dont have to bend over so far when using it
aint go any pics of the gun but try to get one to show you

cheers john

I'll take a look at easipoint, sounds a decent product. Both of the guns look handy too.
