I dont know what this specific stain would cost to put right but surely given sun wind rain and ice it will disperse itself given time?

Yes it will over time, but oily stuff can take ages to evaporate plus while waiting will just get dirty and then this seems to "stain" the surface in an other way. Agree sometimes could be cheaper to replace then clean/resolve, it depends on what you are trying to put right really.
Where things get expensive, is the products used.
