How long after the surface was laid did you park on it?
I wouldn't want the water from the driveway coming towards the house!
Not overly keen on the quality of the rolling there, can you see the lines?

Sorry Tony, yes the tarmac is under DPC, but not two bricks (15cm).
We didnt park on the drive for a few days and those marks have only just appeared. Infact bits of stone are coming away in many places. Will this get worse and why is it happening?
Their first offer was to knock £340 off the price and not do any of the remediation work making it £750+vat, worth it or should I hold out?

yes davie but obviously the garage floor is 1 datum that the drive must match,therefore as they go past it the tarmac would have to go up a little bit,our local BC let us go 75 mm below damp course as long as the surface is falling away which theirs is,also the area that is slightly higher is against a garage wall so its not like your skirting boards will rot
im sure dave l will advise better than me on the tarmac although the join looks tatty
have you built a bedroom over your existing garage??
it looks like one i did in bushmead luton a few years back,nice looking job on the extension

Yes we built a bedroom on top. The house is pretty big now, but we haven't had much luck with builders!!
Every morning this week our drive has been covered in maggots. Where the tarmac joins the garage wall, flies have laid their eggs and we're now getting maggots coming from under the tarmac. YUK!! Probably not there fault but should this be sealed?
Anyway do you think I should go with £750+VAT and get them to seal the edge with our neigbours drive? Suppose I could put an Aco channel down the side of the garage myself so the tarmac looks a bit better.

thats strange i though flies only laid eggs on rotting food?? maybe theres a big mac under there?? only jking
i think £750 +vat is about right,i would bother with an aco next to the garage wall whats it going to do??? there is plenty of fall away from the garage,it does need sealing or something down next doors drive
they call it "CLOSURE" davie, pay them and fuggedaboutit

TBH you didnt need one in front of the garage door either,theres plenty of fall away
