Paving as a turf edge?!?! advice please!

yeah i think it certainly helped being a joiner and used to working to the nearest micron when joining 2 pieces of wood together, all i have done is put that same skill into paving

i jointed them with the brush in stuff from TP - i know i know but this was just prior to the threads starting about rompox being so good but that said it still looks good 14 months later to be honest as I am back working on the same house at this moment in time

I have to say that you must be a rarity in the paving game mick
most chipies i went to college with ,either do windows ,site work ,or dry lining
on the whole and that includes the 2 that work for us,they dont like the "wet trades"
we have been offered ex carpentry apprentices before,and the reason was "they dont have the brains for carpentry"
I can hang a door and pitch simple roofs ,but the accuracy for 2nd fix chippy work is beyond me

is it just me or camera flare but are your Gabion cages blue in colour, they're the welded ones as apossed to the weaved ones aren't they donr need to be stretched into place like the other.

nice job on the facing stone and the small rendered walls.

mick did you not joint those with anything just but jointed together, did you cut them with a cut off saw (stihl) or a bench saw like a clipper etc very neat and accurate mitres.

Luton, the gabions are galvanised which probably gives the blue apperance, also as I have filled them with blue slate this also may give them the blue colour. I also went for the solid 3mm gabions as I didn't like the thought of the thinner wire ones therefore these ones are spot welded at each point making them very sturdy.

Thanks for all your comments and once the weather improves I'll get on with the paving and decking...I'll also post a new picture!
