anyine have any tips to avoid staining pavers when jointing?

like i said let the mix stiffen so its dry ish but still trowable, if its soaking wet like a brick laying mix it will stain if its at the right consistence that it holds together, i cant think of the right way to describe it. but mix it as normal then let is set dont mix it dry or the cement wont have enough water to enact the chemical reaction and set.
with the sub base if your in organic soil or clay etc then you need a sub base, better safe than sorry if your in shale or on bed rock then your wont.
i did this job once scraped off the top 300mm-400mm soil and was straight into rock. this was +/- 2metre dig and fill.

fancied a swim haha, no leveled off an area for a woman to exercise her horses and practice dressage 60x20 metres
its was hard work but good stuff came out like mot, made great fill
