You can still lease a car for a business, you just cannot claim the vat, which wouldnt matter in your wifes case.
Think of it like hiring a piece of machinery, just in this case its a car.

Local, I worked this out once, and the leasing company got such good discount on the vehicle, that even after all the payments were made, the main dealer was still dearer. They only offered me 4k for my old vehicle, the leasing company offered 8!
Plus factor in the tax deductability, and it does work out cost effective.

Not exactly an old banger.
Just unlucky i think but its the hassle and cost of being without it as much as the expense of repairs thats making me consider leasing.
These vans are known for clutch/gearbox trouble, 60k, is the time to out it.
