Every month we get put on stop with them, cos my gaffer has to do the same, go over the invoices and make sure their charging the agreed quote. You do have to wait ages, i get on well with Davy in the yard so usually dont have to wait too long. If you want a wait go down to Keyline on Bath Road. Theres 2 roll vans outside there for a reason lol. Its mainly Jewsons or Keyline/TP we use

I sell gas to one of the vans :D

Keyline haven't been as bad for me as Jewsons but that could be because I haven't used them as much.

What a bunch of scumbags. We had some of our equipment stolen from a site recently and the worst thing was it was from a tool hire company and we didn't own it! Luckily we have our own insurance who took care of the problem and the equipment was only worth £900.

I know that when we hire a mini digger the company we use fits a hidden "gps tracker" which alerts them day or night if the machine is taken off our site at any point. They tell me they are looking in to putting these devices in to other bits of equipment which are easy to steal but have a high value such as survey equipment like total stations.

It really annoys me that some of us work hard to put bread on the table while others think they can take what they like in this life!

...grumble over!

p.s. - I'm new to the forum but this story inspired me to register just so I could chuck my 2 pence worth in.
