Ive found the bosch discs pretty good. About £40.

On these long DIY projects, many previous DIYers/self-builders have found that they can buy a plate and a whizzer for, say, 100 quid a-piece from eBay, and then sell them for 100 quid a-piece when the job is finished.

Hey try a Bosch grinder with the dust extraction guard. Cuts like a circular saw with base plate on it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B94okz7GHy4&sns=em watch the video that is how good it is with extraction on it.

you will really feel it cutting with an angle grinder. I'd go for a petrol cutter with water fed dust suppresion every time. Remember concrete dust can cause silicosis ( not sure that spelt right ) a respirotory disease, not just with you but anyone breathing it in. So you, your wife, kids and joe public are at risk. Food for thought.

As Sean said but if you buy a good quility mask you should be ok.
