Many thanks for all the replies and yes the school was closed when I attempted this.
I just need a bit more advice as I'm going back to have another go during half term.
No matter how hard I tried with just pressure this didn't go well. It's been down 4 years and never cleaned and it's literally black and green but it did have colour when put down.
I was hoping anyone had any tips for things to put down and dwell to help remove the ingrained dirt that just doesn't want to come out, I know Roger mentioned water alone may not do it and I think this is the case, so, if you can let me know something other than water that may help I'd be greatly obliged.
Here's a picture. The bit I did looks way better, which I don't have a photo of but, I'm not happy with the ingrained black stuff I can't seem to shift.
