it was the plant hire firm that suggested it,they didn't have a rubber mat available ,so they said and i quote" a lot of lads just tie some carpet to the bottom of the wacker"

i can assure you this doesn't work

...and it's a bugger to explain to the missus the marks on the carpet when you put it back in the living room! :p
