Hmm, I like our driveway. I also like block paved driveways. Neither of these opinions mean I need glasses, nor that anyone else who likes either of these needs glasses either.

Thanks for everyone's input on my posting! I have followed everyone's comments with interest(!) and think I have now decided to go with block paving as opposed to PIC. Am now stuck on the decision as to whether to use Marshalls Tegula for both driveway, patio and paths or to use a flagstone such as Marshalls Chancery for the patio and paths to the rear of the house. Given it's a Victorian property - any thoughts? Tegula I believe comes in at around £18 m2 and have been advised that flagstones would add about another £30m2. Does that seem about right?

I'd be tempted tyo stick with the one product. STumbled blocks can look very effective as paths and patios, especially if they are augmented with subtle detailing, or even summat as simple as using the circle or octagon feature for the patio area.
Chancery are a good flag, but I think they'd be 'shown up' by the Tegula.

Thanks Tony. My gut feel is to stick with one product too and obviously the Tegula will suit all needs of the drive and paths. Am just having real trouble liking any of the colours against the buff brick of the house. Am thinking along the lines of Cotswold/Heather or plain Cotswold. The Duo colours seem a bit busy. The brochures don't give a true indication of colour and having looked at samples at the builders yard, again it is hard to judge due to the residue on the concrete. Have tried looking for pictures on the internet of a large area laid in the above colours - but haven't come up with much. Have you any pictures or of any driveways laid against a house of buff brick or in these type of colours?

I usually suggest the Harvest Buff for that sort of scenario. I can't find a pic of Harvest Buff with buff brick, but i know I have one - it's probably in the archive which is on the external HDD which refuses to talk to this computer for some reason and will only share sweet nuffins with the laptop. I'll have a look over the weekend.
