with the tying gun you would blast through making them up, just lay em' down 4 or 6 to a big sheet. or using the deck chairs 6 to a sheet, try them when doing a flat pad, you might be like them i'm looking a tying gun in a auction thursday if it is the right price MSH

The deck chairs ie the triangular are good but generally only 100mm or 200mm you need more than 6 a sheet if walking on it say with a pump we use 12 to a sheet between the to layers of mesh and they need tiring on the bottom sheet to stop them spreading
Most the slabs we pour the mesh is spec d 40 or 50 mm from the bottom of the slab then a smaller mesh 50mm from the top for crack control

I just want to thank everyone who posted and would say that I have postponed this project till the spring for various reasons one of which is that I now believe that a ground reinforcement grid may be the way to go instead for part of the project although some concreting will still need to be done.
I will probably be asking some questions about this in future posts
