Why do these jobs always come in *just* before a BH weekend, when there's no chance of driving around the various yards of the Ribble Valley and West Yorkshire, trying to convince your beloved that it's just a scenic ride out and you had no idea there were so many reclamation yards in the area?
Think I might have some sussed. The client has sent a couple of photies of what they want to match. I reckon I can match the setts but I've no frickin' chance of finding anyone crap enough to lay them in the same style - I've stopped drinking in saloons!

We needed about 50 Smooth Staff's blue 10"x5" Pavers a while back, shopped about and ended up at a Re-claim yard I try not too use often cos of his prices. He asked for £1.50 a block, and I managed to knock him down to £1.30 cash cos we were desperate. When my guy went with the pick up to get them, the yard guy was loading them literally out the back of another builders van and onto ours. The other guy had turned up to sell about 200 he'd got hold of. My guy managed to have a sly word with the other builder, found out he was getting £50 cash for the lot, gave him £60 and loaded the lot. needless to say we're not welcome there anymore, Ha Ha!!:D
