My bro in law will be heading up from Swansea a week on Saturday with an empty Luton to. Get last of his things from grays . He could bring them up if weight ok and a bit of cash for his troubles and time is ok for you .i had the pleasure of taking a Luton down with him before xmas .set off from grays at 1pm on a Thursday . Two aa breakdown trucks and one travelodge and 3 rac breakdown trucks later we arrived back in grays 1am Saturday morning

wow that sounds great but they are 21 feet long so im not sure they would fit in the back....
how big is a luton in the back also its 1600kg

With that size and weight I'm afraid you are going to be stuck with the HGV/LGV route.

Yes I think you are right but I've found a firm that hires a 7.5 tonne for around 150 then it's diesel and toll and also time,
But it's not looking to good as the item is creeping up in price to...

What ever company you use , they will charge for 3 or 4,5 pallets due to the length at £60 a pallet thats how the figures work out, there must be a sheathing cladding supplier in you area, long way to move em' MSH

Yes but about 3 times the price, I done an online quote for my roof it was nearly 2 grand...
I was hoping to try and win these and do the roof and all sides maybe even the front...
But like you say size and distance is a problem...
Best price I've got is from my work place we use a carrier every day to haul stainless and they came back at £300

Tony I was thinking about the same, it's currently over £300 for the sheets so say I bid £450 plus £125 for truck then diesel and toll £175 your then at £750
So approx 60 of the sheets so its around £12.50 a sheets, approx
Which is very good considering others want around £1.75 a foot... So one sheet is £36.75 per sheet approx x 60 sheets that's a load of money £2,205.00..
Oh and don't forget my time too it's a days work...
But I still think its not bad, use what I need sell the rest on I suppose...
Does anyone ever get this stuff

I'm not really understanding your maths but how does the price compare to 8 x 4 sheets of OSB?
That's assuming OSB is suitable.

Not sure bob of price of those sheets,
But if I was to get them they will need felt on top I take it?
My maths ain't great but it's approx costs,
I'm even thinking of taking a stil saw and cutting them in half and then bung them into a back of a van...
I think it's gonna cost me around £400 to £500 to do my roof and clad the sides.
That's very good considering the size of it,
My costs are approx as I'm not sure how much diesel will be and also I'm not sure how much I will get for the remainder of what I don't need/use

Yes OSB will need felt or some other covering.
So I take it the boards you were looking don't need covering, didn't realise that.
For all the shipment problems it still sounds your idea could be a goer
