Best invention is sky plus. The misses records eastenders and watches in her own time. Mind you she has 92 episodes on the planner so not sure when she watches it ! I would say 90% of tv we watch is on the sky plus. Very rarely do we watch telly live except for sport.
2 of the kids got money for Xmas so we went to currys this morning to buy 2 laptops in sale. They didn't have enough dosh for good quality ones so the bank of dad came to rescue again. They now owe me, but how many parents actually get money back from lending the kids.

Well done Nige on topping up the kids money. I find myself doing this on a regular basis but you only live once I guess!

I have the soaps to thank for finally learning how to switch this machine on ,i could,nt watch the drivel so spent the time playing about with the computer,on which i am still useless but anything is better than watching people scream at one another.
Me & wife spent all christmas with bloody flu, just started to ease up .Happy boxing day whats left of it .

All three of mine are currently running interest-free, four-figure, unauthorised overdrafts from the Bank of Dad, and one of them is close to five figures.
Still, If I don't 'lend' it to them, I'd only waste it on comics and motorbikes.

I had (or endured) a morning out to Exeter today with the missus
Successfully emptied my wallet of cash, she decided she wanted one of these Kindle Fire things.

I assume that includes time to park the car, get a ticket from the machine and then a leisurely amble to the scarf shop.
I suppose that, if I really tried, I could stretch it out to three minutes, too!
