A once in a lifetime achievement comes along that you can share with your children, grandchildren etc and people still moan. I'm not into sport at all but this is a one off that i am fully supportive of. Come on lads get behind the athletes, cheer them on, be proud to be British and be a part of something that happens once in a lifetime. Raise a glass in their honour.
CHEERS !!!

i found out a week ago my old band were playing it, proper chuffed for them, seen some funny pic of lighting fags of the olympic flame back stage.
dan the whole florists and cafe thing was the IOC not locog they fearlessly protect the image and you cant blame them they give a little everyone would be taking the piss.
the empty seats have been assigned to other olympic committees and sponsors so they werent available for general sale, its the early rounds hence why no shows but they are filling them now.

Spectacular white elephant.
A chance for British couch potatoes to pretend they are really interested in athletics.

my firm had the delivery package of the site. There was thousands earned a wage from there in the construction. There are competitors from across the globe who are being fantastic role models for your children, inspiring them to get off the streets, their arses and do something worthwhile. Syatistics show, smoking and dinking in youngsters is down, as is the crime rate, surely that isn't coincidence? Support team g b i say.

I agree it's great tv after my lad finally gets to sleep on his summer hols. We have been playing the Olympics on the wii for months so it's great for him to see the real thing (not sonic and mario) I just wish he would stop fencing me with a plastic sword as soon as I come through the door.... God help me when the javelin starts I'll have hide the broom....!

They say the Olympics has raised the "National Mood"
Can't say it's worked here, all I want is a bit of dry summery weather rather than this shit we've been handed.

While bankers and politicians lie and steal, the global economy goes in the toilet and unfounded unnecessary wars rage on costing thousands of lives on all sides, at least some people are playing games in London.
Bread and circuses.
