On the smoking thing, i got very tired of lads taking time out of the day to smoke, then got sick of them taking time out of the day to roll up fags and then smoke them.. Simply wont employ a smoker now. Legal or not, descrimination or not.

sadly I am back on the evil weed since the 2 lads at work smoke non stop
when i had 2 blokes that didnt smoke it was easy
saw my old mate bill today,he is a site manager now for a national house builder
he reckons eff all gets done due to elfin safety gone mental
we used to be in a price work gang,turn up at 6 am work till 12 then in the pub for 3 hours
boots and shorts were all we wore in summer
he said its long sleeves ,hi viz, goggles,gloves and boots all the time now or its the bag

i started at 18,and have been off them for 10 years in total in the last 26
my record was 3 years,then i was at a funeral and someone i hadnt seen for a long time offered me a fag
next day i bought 20 
i did november 11 to june just gone then went away with 4 heavy smokers,no excuse but it was non stop
i reckon once you have smoked,you are never a non smoker ,just a smoker who isnt smoking right now

I’m ok now, but I had an OCD attack once….1 year, 8 months, 27 days, 14 hours, 57 minutes and 14 seconds ago…..

thank goodness its not just me who does all of the things already mentioned
I hate mess everything is brushed up and washed down twice before we leave every evening, there is not a single stone out of place

A clean site is a productive site. I cant stand mess, it does my head in. Tony & Mick, I'm exactly the same. Its the only way IMO. Also, lets say your going up against a company for a quote. Prices are the same and the standard of work is the same, the fact that you run your site like a military operation may be the difference between you getting the job or not

We rennovated our house last year with lots of help from my Dad, every day he would come in and announce "Right, first things first, we need to have a mega mega tidy!". It's like his catchphrase. Dead right though, you can't see what you're doing and run everything efficiently if there's rubbish and mess everywhere.

Pop Master is a quiz on R2 with Ken Bruce, you dont have to be Scottish to be a contestant but it seems to help ???

Incidentally Steve Wright is on there from 2pm, no Sid the Manager or Chervais on there though sadly
