so stealing from a supermarket, ( which in turn is the reason they put prices up for the rest of us ) is acceptable then? I don't s'pose for one minute that you have ever done cash jobs and pocketed the tax ??? :;):

My point is that when stealing from the government you don't get to choose the amount. He took £24k, I would be willing to bet that he didn't need any of that money. If you steal from a supermarket you can take only what you need.

"how to make friends and influence people " by J R Hartley Aka seanandruby :;):

is matt allwright going to be turning up by bus to expose fraudsters and cheats now that his *ride* is locked up?

I hate to see non violent people get sent down but that is the law
A mate of mine is going up to CC in august for growing dope in his spare room
he has been told to expect 18 months to 3 years for his first ever offence
what will society gain from locking up a 50 year old hippy @£1200 per week?
but he accepts that he broke the law and that are the cards he has been dealt
I wonder if mr rausing gets any prison time?
of no i forgot when you are a billionaire, addiction is called a "health issue"
LLL ???

if he haf been having loadd of kids, just for the family allowance i would be inclined to agree. But he done what we all do ( in our own little ''justified '' way ), we try and get something we aren't entitled to, if it be the black economy, stealing from supermarket's, cash job's. It's the nature of the beast. As lll says: £1200 a week to keep him banged up. Where's the sence in that, he hadn't draen blood. Robin hood, robin hood, diding through the glen................ :;):

Jail is over the top, I reckon he should be made to do community service for a year or something, pay back the money he nicked and then some. Jail is way over the top for your friend LLL, still think cannabis and mushrooms should be legal.
