they don't exist any more! to many bra burners gave them the idea the could add meaningful work to the country/economy. The ones that don't have to work just want to shop/do nails/hair/gym and lunch.

Gonna up my fluid intake, stay off the fags, and try out a paleo diet with dairy if I can organised enough to shop and pack my lunches. Money saver if nothing else. Spending at least £70 a week on crap atm!
good on you for quitting the fags i done it last march and ive had 3 since.... as for £70 a week for crap does that include bog roll lol

I can't do early breakfast either, but a couple of strong brews when I get up (5.30'ish), bit of Paper work before I go out on site, and then eat Instant Porridge on site about 9.30/10. I don't drink much at work, just a few mugs of tea, and try and eat as healthy as possible, but I struggle to eat crap take out food, so I usually take left overs and heat them up or eat cold, and also salads during the Spring/Summer/Autumn, which we grow at home.
Found that cutting out Bread and drinking alcohol really helped me last year lose weight and gave me lots of energy, but that's a hard thing to do. I like to eat loads of fruit at work, that really does you good, and Tony's right Chips are easy, but all fried foods are hard for our body to digest, and so your brain makes you feel sleepy to enable it to get your body to slow down and store the fat content, o a fry up ain't the best first thing if you want to get moving.

Triple shot espresso gets me buzzing in the morning and muesli for slow release energy (can't do porridge, like eating wallpaper paste).
Home made butty for lunch with whatever I can snaffle out of the cupboard, crisps, biscuits etc. I don't do butty/ pie shop or chippy anymore. Too much money and time spent travelling/queuing everyday.
Try to have a rest (yes I'm working today but I have had Tuesday and Wednesday as a minibreak, in snowy Wales this week ) as working everyday will just burn you out.
Can't say whether I have more energy for giving up the fags (40 a day) five years ago, as I have put on at least three stone in that time.

i was 7 stone when i left school and could only manage 10 stone by 21,but moving in with the missus soon wacked the pounds on
I have done all sorts of healthy eating plans but reckon my body is happy at 16 1/2 stone , so why flog yourself worrying about a stone here or there
all my cholesterol, diabetes, liver and kidney check came back good so i must be eating reasonably healthy,
I think everyone goes a bit flat in the early afternoon,we always say you do your best work in the morning
back in the good old days on pricework,we used to start at 6 and work through till 1 then hit the swan in northall for 2 hours then home
cant do that anymore of course

7 rules for healthy eating from John Berardi:
1. Eat every 2-3 hours, no matter what. You should eat between 5-8 meals per day.
2. Eat complete (containing all the essential amino acids), lean protein with each meal.
3. Eat fruits and/or vegetables with each food meal.
4. Ensure that your carbohydrate intake comes from fruits and vegetables. Exception: workout and post-workout drinks and meals.
5. Ensure that 25-35% of your energy intake comes from fat, with your fat intake split equally between saturates (e.g. animal fat), monounsaturates (e.g., olive oil), and polyunsaturates (e.g. flax oil, salmon oil).
6. Drink only non-calorie containing beverages, the best choices being water and green tea.
7. Eat mostly whole foods (except workout and post-workout drinks).
As for the rest, make sure you get good sleep - for me that means room has to be really cold, decent mattress and no computer for at least an hour before bed.
If you want alcohol do it like just about every other country, a glass of wine with your meal or something rather than binge drinking and eating a kebab.

Fb, my advice to you is eat earlier in the evening, you will wake up hungry and will want breakfast, that will set your whole day, even just some yogurt will make a massive difference. I used to avoid breakfast because i never wanted it but im now used to having it

Your your own worst enemy. Smoking, high energy drinks, eating late at night. High energy drinks are a complete waste of money, they bring you up then drop you flat. I have porridge every morning at 5.00 am, a banana at 7.00 just before i start work, some sort of salad at 10.30, fruit at 2.30 with 4 digestives, or a choc bar, evening meal at 7.00 will be bake spud, mixed veg, or noodles etc with a bit of fish, or chicken no red meat. I drink plenty of water all day and a cup of tea at every break and in the evening. I can be as low as 13.8 up to 14.4 stone through the day/night. Bed at 10.00 up at 4.50, never flag in the day

Thats what you call discipline. I have tried to do similar things myself but everyday is different so find it difficult to nail a routine down.
