Oil will never run out...only be economically unviable to mass produce.DNgroundworks wrote:Just out of interest anyone any idea when it will run out?
At some point, cost of extraction and refining becomes cost prohibitive.
Also remember all that drilling, pumping and transportation USES a lot of oil too.
This guy had a theory on when oil production would peak and start to decline.
Hubert's peak
Oil will always be available but will increasingly be only for the better off in society.

IMHO peak oil was reached at least 10 years ago
saudis reserves are massively overstated
as PP correctly says there will always be oil but where the saudis can extract it from the desert for 10 bucks a barrell,it costs more like 40 bucks when you start doing the serious deep drilling like deepwater horizon
all very well looking for oil in the falklands but getting it from there to here will cost a pretty penny too
I own shares in certain oil companies mainly because we still rely on it and there is less and less of it ,so under supply and demand the SP will rise
cheers LLL

I had to pay £1,50 in Southport today. It is getting stupid.
With my quotes being cheaper than they have ever been to try and ensure I get work, it makes for tough times.
Dont Venuzela have the largest oil reserves in the world? And Brazil also have a good ammount.
Does the uk buy from there? It always seems everyone thinks of the middle east when oil is mentioned.

We support rebels in every country, wouldn't have this lifestyle if we didn't.lutonlagerlout wrote:thing is in this country we support rebels in libya and syria
