Boxing, they would win nearly all the time. I say nearly because anyone can get caught with 1 big punch.
In an MMA fight, the boxer would lose, they end up on the ground they're helpless and they would end up on the ground every time.
Don't get me wrong, I appreciate how skilled boxers are, I believe boxing is the hardest sport in the world.

I think the next big thing you will see in MMA is them seriously training boxing, at the start brazilian jiu jitsu was king, then wrestlers, we've seen the muay thai fighters dominate pride, we've seen Lyoto Machida showing the world that karate and traditional martial arts aren't useless, next I think it will be boxing.

What I would really love to see is one of these world class boxers, of the likes that you mentioned LLL train nothing but wrestling for 6 months, 6 hours a day and training in a smart way then doing the same for brazilian jiu jitsu, some additional training to put it all together then see how they get on.

edit: I put that caveat in about training smart because even the best fighters can be moronic when it comes to training. Roger Gracie, arguably the best at BJJ in the world spent 90% of his time training BJJ leading up to his fight with King Mo, who is known for knocking people out, not surprisingly gracie got knocked the f*ck out.

maybe plastic isnt the right word
i appreciate the arts of ju jitsu etc (which seems to be the most prevalent)
but after watching both sports i would rather watch pro boxing than pro MMA
who would or could beat manny paquaio? at the same weight
all very well saying get him in a hold, but hard doing that with 10 punches hitting you in the face
just my opinion like
LLL :)

Not seen it yet, been meaning to. My brother thought it was good too.

The money is going in to MMA slowly. People are pissed off at the corruption in boxing. If boxers start getting paid less and MMA fighters more we might even see some good boxers in MMA.

Pablo ya bawbag! Im a blue nose, its bollocks whats happened with Rangers. Its easy to pin it all on Craig Whyte but all of the tax situation arose when David Murray was there. Still, wheres the missing 20 mill? And for the SPL Celtic need Rangers just the same as Rangers need Celtic. God knows what the outcome will be eventually but were either fecked totally or pretty fecked for years to come

fecking bluenoses I'm surprised at you I thought you were a civilised east coaster and not a Ned. Aye it's not Whyte's fault I think someone has dipped their hand in the till though their economics are worse than anything that went on in the banks before the crash. That money is owed to the British people and they shouldn't get away with it just because of who they are and anything fraudulent should be investigated. I'd start with a trawl of bank accounts in the name of fido tiddles and spot. How the hell did Redknap get away with that anyway.
