i had forgotten all about cb radio,my handle was "smokestack" which was the nickname for mark 3 cortina, my dream car as a 14 year old
thing was there were like 40 channels so to talk in private you had to have little codes for selecting the channels
"my age plus 10 " etc etc
there were some issues with TVs but i cannot remember the exact details
I know it got to a certain time ,maybe around 1985 and for some reason no one had them any more?

Every kid in Leigh was on the “rig� in the early 90’s, my handle was saddken!
My dad was clearing out his loft a few weeks ago and dug out my old CB gear, he set it up for my son to have a play with, and in the 4 hours they were using it there wasn’t one other person on the air. Msn and facebook are to blame I rec!

i had a whopping big long ariel on me 1976 p reg vauxhall viva and i could get a signal for miles. them were the days.
