Im on bradstone, seem ok to me, but there equivalent tegula range, the woburn original is around £15.00 p/m + vat, Hard to tell which way they up they go when wet
The flags we are on at the minute are all bradstone or eaton's , have priced for a few marshalls jobs but they are a damn fortune.
Whats wrong with 50mm LLL 10mm extra really make much difference?

My local builder’s merchant rang me today to confirm the Tobermore price increase. It is only the 3 size Tegular that’s price has increased by 20%. And every other product by 12%, so not as bad as I first thought!

i feel it does, and I am sure i recall someone proving that although only 20% thicker they are 40 % stronger
maybe tony mcC can help us on this one
the tegula and drivesett blocks seem a harder mix so the 50 mm doesnt seem to bad in them
maybe its just a placebo effect

Im sure ive seen it somewhere on this site that 50mm blocks are more than adequate, ive never seen 50mm blocks fail in a way that would warrant 60mm, but hey i dont do massive amounts of block work...
Ive seen 80 and 100mm blocks before, bet they are strong!

I laid my first block paves in 1987 they were 100mm and it was a 600m drive :O
we used scaffold poles for screed bars
that was hard work
i think 50 mm are described as adequate for light domestic use,but can you designate what that is?
on an 80m drive it only costs 80 quid more and i feel it is an upgrade same as terram or similar
