the transit connects are a very good niche van,good for running about picking up small stuff etc etc
no towing or loading capability
i am thinking of getting a 56 plate just as a runaround
better driving position than the astra or escort and economical to run
before the cabstar i had 3 transits , a peugot pick up and escort and astra vans,all unreliable rust buckets
but havent heard any bad gripes on the transit connect from anyone

Same here.
Mine is in at Nissan on the 31st to get new alloys, apparently the ones on it can crack if you have a heavy load and go around a corner too fast.

11 year old transit van here. LWB/HR. 68000 miles since new. touch wood no problems at all. Fords every time for me.

I had my Navara go into meltdown in November, 05 plate 70k mileage, just came off the M4 and bang engine exploded, the well know fault with the Navara con-rod 3 & 4 went. Engine rebuild, 4 weeks off the road total bill £9K. Nissan picked up the whole bill after a bit of arguing. They should have been recalled seeing as Nissan know which engines are going to let go in my view.

My replacement vehicle is going to be either a swb shogun commercial bk, or a 90 land rover defender, ive been driving the landrover for around a week whilst my truck is off the road - goes well, can tow 3.5t, and they hold their value. The shogun would be good cos i have access to a Mitsubishi main dealer through the gaffer who is a good friend.
Vans are no good for me, sometimes do 700 miles a week, couldnt imagine doing that in a transit!

dan, land rover last year were voted the most unreliable cars on the road by customers. i know someone with one of those and its been abck to the garage more times than i can remember
Stick with your first option!

i concur with the above. My mums partner used to be a car dealer and he always slates landrovers and jags

To be honest I'm not sure what to get:rock:
Won't need to tow, will only use to pick up the odd bag of cement/kerb
But be smart enough to go price jobs+ have sign on side

i've got a navara,really pleased with it. reversing camera,leather seats,all the toys. the secret of course is to get rid before the warranty expires.
