yep its a common problem, a lot of our customers are aware of this and choose to either keep cats indoors our use our systems for keeping the cat contained, you wouldnt be suprised to hear how many cats are poisoned, stolen and run over...
dig dug, yeah it happens, you have the chase the cat and then let it out the gate, it wont come back after that, bloody expensive but very effective

I agree LLL, we have our own bloody cat, it has IBS, which means is shites everywhere, our garden, the neighbours, all over our lawn, veg beds everywhere. It also vomits all over the kitchen if it eats anything it shouldn't which is often as it breaks into neighbours houses and eats their pets food. We're at our limit of tolerence, and if it's latest expensive vet trip don't pay off, it'll be going back on a one way trip. If I had the guts I'd have done it in a while ago, pets annoy the crap out of me, but the Kids love it!! Although we have just refused work in a very wealthy clients Garden due to the volume of dog shite everywhere, you would not believe it!!:(

Hesian sack brick canal ....... Haha we had two cats lived outside in the stables/ barn for pest controlled fed them once a day and when they got to 24 yrs old they were aloud to warm themselves by the aga but other than that lived semi feral and outlived most house cats by 10 years
