had to laugh today, we were working in harpenden (very posh place) and it was lashing down,anyway the banker or whatever across the road comes out and starts strapping what look like grand a piece mountain bikes onto his roof rack,all dressed up in his berghaus etc etc
us poor lads were only staying in the rain for pay ,but rich folks want to go out in it for fun
flags vrs slabs when first moved daan sarf in 97 kept getting the evening standard . took a couple of days to sus out what slabs were. you southerners have some queer ideas . jellied eels, pie mash and liquer, whats that all about :p having said that id never had chips with a full english before now thats a good idea. ps to us a slab is a concrete base

Well we have now ordered two of these little beauties for a git of a job in Surrey (sorry surreylandscape but we are working on the other half of the county!)

Well the lads did take some piccies but I'm afraid they went straight on You Tube and Facebook.
The barras arrived two days before the stone! The lads decided to "test" the barras by riding them down a very steep driveway into a very large pile of sand...... Unfortunately I only have videos not stills but they are quite funny. Anyone who wants to see them add Chris Dale as a friend on Facebook!!
Anyway they survived the cresta run and my hubbys arse being strapped to one and with the money coming from you've been framed we should be able to buy a third one!
Some piccies are available of the barra in action in its intended purpose are winging their way to Eric as we speak. And yes they really are invaluable if you are slabbing day in day out - makes Ye Olde Risk Assessment a doddle too - now all I need is a Fisher Price stone cutter and I can tell the HSE to poke it

Eazybarra man is back again.
Been busy selling barras all over UK.
Shouldnt be long now before few of large hire companies have the barra available for hire.

Do you have narrobarrows.. copyright that... in need of one as the width of the back alley way is 63cm.. my barrow 63cm...and was going through a house a few weeks back and there pvc back door wasnt wide enough to fit a barrow through!!
The old narrow barrow has it been done before??

This is my first post so for a start can I say that I have learned more off this site in an afternoons blitz of the forum than a grown man has a right to. Superb advice and a sense of humour which appeals to this recently retired soldier.
As a result of the information on this thread I picked up an Eazybarra this morning in Oswestry, sadly just missing Eric the Eazybarra man. What a cracking bit of kit. It is built like the proverbial outhouse and I have been able to move a stack of paving slabs, which I have promised to move for over a year, with ease. As an added bonus my mini wacker plate fits snugly on the platform so moving that around has just got a heck of a lot easier too.
Eric, if you are reading this thank you for such a well designed and solid product which will outlast me and help keep my back in good order which is essential after spending much of my life jumping out of perfectly serviceable aircraft.
I am afraid that I will be getting a lot more out of the site than I can contribute as I am a well meaning amateur and would not dream of insulting the many experts who post here with my ramblings. Unless of course someone would like to know how to invade a neighbouring country. Then I am your man.
