almost makes me want to go back to scotland <rose tinted views>
oops then i remembered ,my family are from greenock :O
I like your style mick and that cutting in round the rodding eye is awesome
i take it you had to cut multiple times with the saw to achieve that tight curve?
you have to remember 47p2that mick is a joiner by trade, and they work to 1mm tolerance
when i was at college, anything to do with brick work etc was 10mm over 3 m and in situ was the way it was down around round covers
cheers LLL

thank you luton
mark the shape on the block with chalk or whatever you use then lots of cuts 10 - 15mm apart just up to the line, clean it up with the edge of the diamond blade very gently

We're almost at the gate now but the drainage work stopped the block work going any further. At the other side of the gate the drainage and pipework is now completed, and tomorrow they will rip out the remainder of the concrete and put the hardcore down ready for block laying on Monday morning.

not taking the mick like 47p2 but if rovers are so good how come you got 2 smirks sitting dans le garage?
i have had 3 rovers,2 metros and a montego 2-0 efi
the metros went on and on but the montego was a pig of a car
16 previous owners should have told me all i needed to know :;):
BTW i see they have screeded the sand and yet there is no retaining edge for the blocks??
do they haunch the kerbs in afterwards?
cheers

The smirks are working cars, not my choice but I have to use what the punter wants and that's MB
The kerbs will go in tomorrow morning, I would think they've done it this way to get the correct height ???
We have way too many foxes here, they tease the dog from the other side of the hedges, some day he'll go through the hedge and get them

on the main driveway were they have installed kerbs did they remove the sand laying course and replace with a concrete mix to bed the kerbs onto then to place concrete behind the kerbs to hold them in place
or have they put the kerbs on top of the sand laying course and put concrete behind them ?

The concrete mix was done on top of the compacted hardcore
