We always like to invest in heavy machiner Stewart, especially big engines :)

Thanks to all for positive words. Its funny how solving one problem can instantly create another one. We are finding that the labels on the riven sandstone samples are now getting snagged on the foam insert. Which means that we've now got to polished the backs of the riven samples to get the labels to stick better. Should of stuck with the cardboard box :D

That brochures only 2 weeks old Tony, so hot off the press.

We had a couple of Yorkstone blocks delivered today. Monsters, approx 14 tons each.

Bigger blocks are much better for us because there is lots less wastage and also less downtime changing blocks over on the wire saw

How long does it take to process the stone?

Blocks of that size will take about 48 hours to cut through Rab. Seems like a long time but they will produce a big yield

no stone suppliers were harmed during the production of this photograph :D
The block was well strapped down and if I had fallen off it would have been my own stupid fault.
It takes 48 hours to cut it into scant, which is what the big rough slabs are called. Its then got to be cut down further into paving or steps

It would frighten people off from buying if he had all that gear on.

He is actually being held by an 'Invisi-lanyard' suspended from a helicopter just out of shot.
There are also lateral 'hip lanyards' which can clearly be seen to the left and right :;):

He looks like something off one of those table football games you see in pubs and arcades. :D
