I agree. If its cold, why not. Some builders round our way got fined recently by the EA, but to be fair, they were burning toxic materials on their fire!

if hes that strong why doesn't he barrow it in?
be a lot quicker than taking a chance with a machine too big for the job
10 tonnes is only a mornings work for 2 blokes plus it gets placed where you need it :;):
dont get me wrong i am a big fan of plant ,but i note with some builders they have forgot what those sticky out things attached to their body are used for

23 stone is too big for work IMHO
I have worked with some big lads who can graft but their knees etc seem to go under the added strain

my lad thinks his jcb is better than his dads haha

Image

Image

Image

dropped half a ton of clay out the bucket and in slapped into a big puddle of thickish clay water infront of me, covered me and cab in orange custard type stuff. had to go have a shower at the rugby club and borrow some rugby kit to carry on hahaha.

rugby club job is that wet there are now ducks living on it haha

Image

so we've had to create a drain and a pond to hold the water,

low spot to become the pond

Image

only had 600mm bucket with us so not ideal for drainage trench but with hindsight the amount of water its carrying better that way.

Image

finished pond

Image

grading continues to get the grade on the x and y axis's

Image

very soft stuff hard to grade, more like plastering
Image

grade almost done, but not stopped raining for a few days

Image

Image

96000m2 of wet clay, rian shows the lower spots digging a relieve trench to clear the water.

Wow! Muddy :0

Like the drain and temp pond ,mate. Good idea
Was on a job in Coventry ,big office job, where there was a low point (just by the main build) water was coming into the Telehandlers cab on the deepest bit. Was at least 30m x 50m.

Gaffers didnt drain it till it was time to dig a connecting car subway.

Two months of it, mud, water and snot

Why did you not bang them in?
