Hi,

Wondering if anyone has succesfully cut 20mm thick black limestone with a track saw and diamond blade? or would advice be to get a petrol cutter?

I have 40sqm to lay in an L shape with a 900x900 drain cover and a gulley drain so potentially a few cuts.

thanks

Hey Angus, to be honest we usually advise just an angle grinder with a diamond blade. When you say track saw, do you mean like a bench saw type set up? If so then we have used these in the past too with success. The track saw is probably easier if you're not too confident with it having a table. I'm sure one of the more experienced heads will be along shortly with more advice!

thanks for advice, when i say track saw i mean a circular saw really but I have a circular saw I use for cutting sheets that runs on a track so you get a nice clean straight line.

it would need to be a proper tile or stone cutting one with water circulation such as this a wood wood is not suitable

water supression must tbe used to reduce dust which can cause silicoses of the lung and to cool and lubricate the cut
