I notice stable hire there tony. I once hired a three tonne machine and dumper form them. Door catch broke on the digger and I was stuck in the cab, and the dumper broke down. When the guy came out to fix, he says they always give the crap machines to first time hirers to see if they are people who look after the machines or abuse them. Never hired from them since

I know what you mean about blocking the side of the house but there is a valid reason for this in this instance
I wish I had the same luck that you've had. I've gone down below the brick work on the house on the patio were on at the minute and we found out that the house has no footings. It's just built on red clay.
I've come out 200mm from the wall and put a row of 300x900 slabs on edge that I'm going to infill with concrete tomorrow.
There will be between 100 and 150mm showing above the finished level.
It'll be stronger than it was before but I'm not sure if it will hold.
I also uncoverd a live inspection chamber that had been crazy paved straight over.
ahh the craic was good :;):
got most of the conkers in today but pishing down tomorrow
dont know about you fellas but the phone is going mad round these parts now
happy days

Phone was going mad a few weeks ago but maybe just 2 inquiries a week now. Most of them looking to have a patio done tomorrow, why do some leave it so late.
Here's a job just completed this week on a new large development which is becoming quite fruitful.
The first two are the before images.

The finished garden, paving is NP's copper slate. Just have to go back to set the stepping stones in.
This is the next one about 100m of Pavestone Quartzite, both a brand and material I have not used before. Anyone used this or similar? If so is there anything I need to be aware of?
