Hi everyone!
Just had quote for converting my front garden to drive made from block paving. Contractor said I don't need planing permission for my drive because my front garden dips towards my house not
towards public road. And the way drive will be build I'll be managing all water from drive. Is it possible?
thanks

yes!
obviously he needs to deal with the surface water
a lineal drain going to a soakaway or such is ideal

Thanks for quick reply.
He said it's possible to use drain from my house. Where my main soil pipe is. I was worried this might by an issue not using soakaway. Instead water just going straight do drains.
thanks

I don't think it is permitted to run surface water into the foul sewer. However the drain he's talking about might be a surface water drain in which case it might be alright.
