Other pavings - Hoggin /fine gravel for paths

Setts and cobbles, tarmac, asphalt, resin systems, concrete whether it's plain, patterned or stencilled, gravels, etc.

Hello
Please could someone help. I am searching for a fine gravel /grit for use as a path material. I'm a garden designer and the client doesn't want gravel as it moves around and wants something like the surface you see on paths in National Trust properties. I'm wondering if that is 'hoggin'? I can't be more specific, all I know is I envisage a cotswold stone coloured compacted surface with a fine grit on top. Does anyone have any ideas what I could use and what the cost could be per sq metre. Thanks very much. flora.
