Hi
I have had an old block driveway removed that was higher than the slate dpc by a couple of courses of bricks
The brickwork below the dpc has been ground out ready to refill.
Its a 1890's victorian clay brick house
A two part question really....
What kind of mortar should be used to point?
and
The builder has ground out some of the slate dpc - should that be mortared back in - left or what!

Thanks for the quick reply
The slate has been damaged/part removed by the grinding out process- so its 10/15mm recessed - for want of a better description. There is no need to fill this with anything?
