Ahh ha ha!. 45 degree bend on the inlet to a chamber base? that might just be possible in the space i have.

Today I have had another idea, one of the traps is only for the dishwasher output. So i was thinking of buying a different trap for the kitchen
and running the waste from the dishwasher in 40mm plastic pipe to the kitchen trap

the trap im looking at is like this with waste inlets on the sides.

If i do this there will be only the one trap, connected to the clay, with the dishwasher waste going down a 40mm pipe
then joining to the side of the trap. This plan will stop the need for a manhole cover, digging, and will save a load of agro

Brill as stated i deal in below ground drainage but i am pretty sure that items such as dishwashers, washing machines etc need to finish slightly above the trap to stop syphoning. Aso your sink waste can go into the grating enabling it to be cleaned. I;m sure an above ground plumber will enlighten us

No there is no stack pipe, just a clay pipe in a ton of concrete.

I think i've sussed how to do it. our drive is having a 100mm gravel strip at the house end. that trap im buying has 50mm waste inlets on the sides so im going to run the pipe to the dishwasher in the gravel, all hidden but accessible.

This will mean no arguing about regs, no worry about cutting into the pipes etc, it seems like a much better and cheaper way to connect a dishwasher to a drain than trying to install another trap which has seemed impossible.
