Titan breaker

Anyone got one?

My Bosch jack hammer is on it's last leg's but she has served me well.

I'm gonna get a new breaker and someone I know swears by the Titan. It cost him £150 from screwfix.

He doesn't use it as much as I would though so he can't comment on durability.

All the reviews on screwfixs website are good though.

Any of you got any feedback?

there was a thread on this a while back sy and I believe the consensus was that they are fantastic if you use them some of the time (could be wrong here)
I like makita breakers and We use ours most days but the titan is tempting at 1/4 of the price

Not used the breaker, but I have used other titan kit and it is great value for money.

Great bit of kit 2 year guarantee just makes sure you top up the grease regularly my guys didn't it stopped working, took it in and got another one no questions asked with another 2 year guarantee bonus

got one under a different brand don't use that much, so it has lasted years. Never tried any others but, this one is quite heavy.

Iv got one, its alright, deffo worth it for the odd bit of breaking out, iv not tried to do a big area yet, but everything iv done so for its tackled.

by the look and weight of it ,it is a step up towards a hydraulic

45 joules seems quite a wack

I had to do a trial hole today on a new build
the blinking garages floor was 200mm of readymix

hard work with a 7kg breaker

I had a go with the Titan breaker today and it's alright. It's as good as any similar size branded breaker I've used but has no speed control. It went through tarmac, brick and concrete quite easily.

I wouldn't like to tackle a concrete driveway with it though.

My old bosch is a proper jack hammer, not quite as good as a hydraulic breaker but she'd make mincemeat of up 300mm of concrete in her day.

I'll keep my eye out for one on ebay

Got one that looks the same but by silverline gone through 3 of similar in 7 years and can't fault them. If the going gets too tough then the only other tool I would consider is a hydraulic or pecker.
They will not last as long as a Bosch etc but for the money it's easier to stomach if it gets nicked or dies.

is it 240V?

big no no then for us then, not only safety but industrial sites dont have any 240 anymore its all 110v or 415v

Not sure if you can get a 110. I don't really care TBH. I've had years of health and safety crawling up my harris. I know it's needed on site but why on earth you need a hard hat when your paving a massive car park and the only thing that's going to land on your head is bird shit is beyond me. Them hat's do you more harm than good in the summer.

Why do we need sleeved t shirts aswell? Ain;t it up to me if I want to risk skin cancer? Can't I catch it on my forearms? They'll have us rubbing suntan lotion on each other before you know it.

Since I've been doing more domestic work I'm really enjoying the freedom of just letting common sense determine how safely I work.

I generally stay fairly covered up now
years of sun tans at work probably aint that good for you
however am getting fairly brown now and its not just dirt

TBH if i could I would spend more time at the allotment
it keeps me out of the pub and theres always something to do

had to skip 30 spring cabbages tonight the mild winter didnt do us any favour slug and snail wise and the cabbages were full of them

Tony 2 days in the sun ain't good for you especially when it's the first time yo've had your shirt off all year.

I went a bit crispy at the weekend and have had about 3 hours sleep since so tonight I've gone through half a bottle of JD in an attempt to get a proper night's sleep

My father in law has an alotment. Him and the old boys spend all there time brewing cider. Good stuff, my Mrs won't let me have one. Wonder why?
