Just came across this site today , hope it can help me with my query ? I am hoping to get new drive way done soon , wright have mono block at the moment and been down for donkey years, I was looking through a brochure and came across natural stone paving marshals fair stone riven , was wondering if this was suitable for a driveway for 4 cars ? I am just looking for something different. As it says on brochure for patios and walling ? I have searched google images and have seen a few driveways done similar to what I want but it doesn't say what brick was used, I really like the autumn bronze multi.

some contractors do lay the marshalls fairstone riven autumn bronze paving flags on driveways but due to the facts its only 20mm thick its not really suitable and you will not get any guarantee from Marshalls if its laid on a driveway
the fairstone driveway setts are suitable though as they are 50mm thick which is available in autumn bronze or silver birch and comes in 3 sizes, this is a job we did a couple of years ago

You *can* lay imported flagstones as a driveway, but the sub-layers must be bound material, so plenty of concrete and/or mortar, and meticulous installation.
