Hi,
we're finally laying our paving. We've made a mistake with 2 flags which has resulted in an unsightly long straight run in the random paving. We only noticed this when looking at it from the upstairs window! I'm so annoyed at myself!
Is it possible to crowbar these 2 flags up & swap them round even though the concrete & sand mix has now set?
If so, am I right in thinking I'd have to remove all the old stuff from the holes & off the back of the flags & put down new mortar & lay as normal? Or is it more complicated now the concrete round the surrounding flags has set?
Thanks!
Moving a flag after the concrete has set?

You can lift and re-lay the flags in question, but you will need to break out the old bedding material and replace it with new. This is especially true for the stone flags and the wet-cast products, as each base is individual, but it's also true for pressed flags which are far more dimensionally accurate and uniform, as even the slightest difference will cause the re-laid flags to rock and wobble.
