Can i join a soil drain without inspection chamber

Hi. Just found this site, wow. Great info.
I'm preparing to extend the rear of my property, I have mixed soil/rain drain. The area i'm working in is all my own, no upstream drainage to worry about.

My downstairs toilet currently drains and merges with another pipe in my garden (all mine). At the point where it merges, there is an inspection hatch.

I want to extend across where the hatch is currently located and would ideally like to remove the hatch altogether.

Someone had told me that a soil pipe joint must always be accessible by an access hatch.

I've also read that it isn't necessary to have an access hatch as long as each 'run' is roddable.

Part H spec doesn't make it clear.

Also, if it can be covered then what are the rules regarding roddable? The junction in question is at 90degrees, I was thinking of merging it via a wide radius bend, is a wide radius bend classed as roddable?

I'd really appreciate any help.

it needs to be completely roddable and any unused runs capped off with a galvanised plug or you will get rats

the thieving water companies like to get a good drink out of you if you are building within 3 M of a sewer

if you need planning they are notified and then the fun starts

Thanks. Is a wide radius bend roddable?
I don't plan on having any unused runs, each end will terminate with a roddable access gully.

Does that sound ok?

you mean the bend about 600mm long
if so yes but with the cavaet that I cannot see the site

Wouldn't be wise to do away with the manhole, or inspection chamber ( hatch as you oput it ) Your pipe from branch connection must be within 12 or 15 metres, can't remember which one. Also could make it a long rod to next manhole etc:
