The client just wanted them, I did ask them why and their reasoning was to keep in with the look of the rest of it.

Thanks Tony, I cant wait to see it with the copings on it, just got to wait until the end of the month for them to turn up.

Newly laid patio using Marshalls Wildwood flags in Pine colour.
Just jointed today using Weatherpoint 365 in Grey.
Turf was laid last Friday, already grown an inch !!

I do like these flags. First time I have used them

Thanks LLL.

It was nice to use a concrete flag and try to make it look good.
When you see the flags up close, they are lovely. The exposed aggregate is not totally smooth, you can feel the aggregate slightly which is good. Much nicer feel than Perfecta or Argent Smooth.
The flags are all the same size and thickness, which is great- even though they are laid on a full mortar bed

Customer is overjoyed with the job. Me and my labourer got a bottle of Scotch, a lovely card and a few pennies each. Plus a big hug from the wife !!
It is always nice when the clients are that happy and give you praise - makes all the hard work worthwhile

PS Anyone like Scotch - we both do not !!!!

I have been fed up with the kiln dried getting into the drainage channels
so we gaffer taped up the top of the channels
so simple yet we hadnt thought of this before :;):

there on the road behind the skip, pavements are no go areas i always thought unless they are massive wide pavements gotta leave it so buggies and wheel chairs etc can get through.

You need a Section 171 licence to deposit building materials on the Highway.

of course, people love to complain
they have nothing better to do
thats why I have 2 permits from herts council for that job,
1 for the skip
1 for materials

an engineer had to come out and inspect the road first so it is a long winded thing ==> 5 working days
and the skip company must have 10 mil public liability

we had 7 packs of blocks there other than the road where else could they go?
we have had 2 8 wheeler grabs out of there and a 6yd skip
27 tonne of type 1
and 7 tonnes of grit sand

both neighbours both commented today how tidy we had kept things which is nice
