driving home from work yesterday and I noticed a neighbour had a lot of timber battens laid out on his driveway,on top of the existing crazy paving

"hmm" I thought
"I wonder what he is up to?"

can you guess what he was doing today?

he screeded sand straight on top of the crazy paving then started laying tegulas
my eyes nearly popped out
now as mick knows i live on the top of a steep hill
this loon lives halfway down at the steepest bit
his drive is about a 1:5 gradient
how he is going to stop it all washing away who knows?

A few years ago i quoted to remove 90m2 of a concrete driveway and to replace with block paving, the homeowner did the work himself and block paved on top of tbe concrete then formed a 150mm ramp down to the pavement - its still there to this day
