Hi
I want to lay conc paviors in a herringbone pattern, but leave a 5-8mm joint for a Rompox type jointing system, any advice on how to stop the paviors moving around prior to pouring the grout
Thanks

why? you will have a very hard job to keep them straight and in line as they are not designed to lay that way, why use rompox in CBP , i belive you will have a very hard job to make it look anything at all , stick to the normal way with kiln dry sand MSH

Is this for a drive or patio. If its for a drive please don't do it.
I wouldn't particularly recommend for a patio either, but it's doable. Lay on a rigid bed and partially fill the joints with mortar as you go.
Brush with a wet brush to remove any stains and lay from the bed rather than standing on the paving itself.

Not gonna say you will never get a weed, but if the paving blocks are laid tight it should never be a chronic problem.
The weeds are from airborne seeds not growing from below.
Also you could always seal the paving, this will also seal the jointing sand and should keep it weed free for sometime.
