I have laid a few drivesett duo but find that they fade a fair bit after 2-3 years
looks fine from here and I too hate piers

I know, I laid two areas out for them to view, one a mix of terracotta and cinder, the other just terracotta, and that's what they decided on.
I know which will look best in a few years but to persuade them that a mix is better can have dire repercussions if they don't like it.
Sure we've all been there, lead them to the water but never force them to drink it.
Cheers

nothing stressfull today (or so i thought) rip out the front garden ready for new planting. Before and after below. new front fencing going in next week.
However, the skip driver who i have known for years, failed to see the gate post attached to the fence and backed straight into it!!
the panel just buckled and smashed, and the end post which i am supposed to be hanging a gate off next week, snapped!
The panel is about £60, so not a cheap start for the poor guy
On the plus side, the skip got dumped right next to the work, so i could swing round with the digger and fill it. Was done by 12!!
happy days

he hasnt done me a favour at all. He dropped the skip on the driveway where it was supposed to go. I am not charging him anything, he has offered to pay for a panel and post. I am installing both FOC.
The customer came out and asked if he was insured!
I have known the guy for 20 odd years, so its not an issue
