Refurbishing existing block paving, but each time the sand just washes out after heavy rain. Resiblock say their sealant does not bind the sand, only seals the blocks. Tried Sika Block Paving Fix but cannot get enough of it between the joints for it to be effective. Sika suggest joint width should be 3-4mm, but my joints are tight. Any ideas or suggestions please. Frustrated at the effort, looking good for a week or so then back to square one. Thanks in anticipation

Resiblock Ultra and the celebrated "22" *does* bind the jointing sand. I can't understand why someone at Resiblock HQ would say such a thing. They built their entire reputation on the fact that their gunk very much binds the jointing sand and, as a happy coincident, just happens to act as a sealant against stains and weeds.

I sealed my old drive with Resiblock some years ago and I don't think I've lost a single grain of sand since!

There are other 'stabilisers' on the market, of course, and you can read about some of them here
