only by 270mm :;):
its one of those workarounds
the house is 1830 and when we did the extension we did a 600mm cavity tray up the wall internally
also we put a linear drain in where the steps are going to a soakaway
here was the tray detail
to reduce the outside by 500mm would have undermined the existing founds so its a best of a bad job IYKWIM
cheers LLL

job cracking on at leagrave
the reason there is so much brickwork above the windows is the warm deck we had to use 125mm celotex on this and if we didnt build the brickwork higher we would of had a 500 mm fascia
225 tanalised joists
one for mike dermobate in :;):

nice to see the noggins offset each other so they can be nailed in properly. I hate it when they are all in a straight line and you see a nail smashed in at an angle

super busy at mo, first job weve got on. we bought a house that was subsiding, been on the market a while average value on street £300k+ we paid £100k cash knocked it down, removed 1.5m of contaminated soil etc and concrete and ground beams and filled 700mm clean mot. 23 piles down to 8m some 250mm some 150mm then a ring beam.
weve also done next doors footings for an an extension and next door but 1 we are digging for underpinning as this has just fallen through sale at the last minute.
the 2 max rebar tieing guns i bought have been so good since i got them, one of my best power tool buys ever.

next job is in uppermill near oldham, massive slope stabilisation job.
phase one small gabion retaing to base of 1 slope, counter fort drains cut into slope. drains are 1m wide, and cut into the bank level 7metre back eat drain will take about 30 tons of clean stone. then we will regrade the slope and build a 20m long 3.2m high gabion retaining wall at the top of the slope.
then a gabion retaining wall all the way along the path at the bottom, and the top.
demolish half built swimming pool extension, construct new build 2 storey drive through arch way and parking area at near, new drive and stabilise the other slope.
estimate £150-200k job
exisiting drive was in a bit of a state this part of the slope is still on the move
this part as been top loaded with 800mm stone for 12 months and is technically stable now, this is where we have to squeeze the additional counterfort drains in, the existing ones can be seen in mot type 2
making a way in and removing the 800mm of 6f2 top loading
brought in the big girls
everything has to be tipped on the rd then rehandled
the angle was too steep to all the stone to hold itself up so additional gabion wall now being installed at teh toe of the slope

shows the awkwardness of the site, footpath has been closed untill we are finished
gabions going in
access and position is really tight i had to cut a terrace for the big machine then had very little room to work while i dug the drains underneath me down to 4m deep and then filled with clean stone
