Found this the other day whilst browsing thought it was an interesting story, have a look.

Theres plenty about it on the net, the island now has inhabitants and a group of investors financing the project.

So they put a remote camera down 10x a 235ft shaft adjacent to the money hole that a few locals had spent 45 years digging and lining with old steam engine boiler casings, got to the bottom started to see something interesting them claimed the footage had cut off. Obvious thing would be to stick it back down but they didn't seem to think of that!!

A lot of whoffle on the mystery and theories that's its Shakespeare's lost works as parts in one of his books point towards it, then the knights Templar burying treasures from temples in Jerusalem.

Then theories that the money hole is a decoy and the treasure is in the man made swamp

They got two 6" pumps and did a half arsed job of draining the swamp then had a diver flail around, they did find 1 small copper coin despite a large metal detector showing huge precious metal signatures.

So basically 5 x 30mins of nothing apart from done really interesting characters that had dedicated their lives to find nothing. One boy who's 91 now dove down on his own 235 feet in pitch black in an 8 foot shaft!

No treasure would get me doing that!
