3 of us did 170M2 in 2 days with easipoint last summer boss
admittedly 900 by 600 units
no chance with a trowel and jointer
also for me there is a consistency of colour
and lastly as it goes in wet the mortar is right in the joint

I started to point flags when I was 3 years old. I used to get 1d (an old penny) per flag, so 240 flags, roughly 130m², to make a quid and by the time I was 9 or 10, I was making 7 or 8 quid a week in the school holidays.
Practice makes for speed, efficiency and colour consistency (not that mortar colour was a big issue in 1960s housing estates). It also made for a very strong right wrist which was to prove unexpectedly useful in my teenage years! :p
